Mako- Dealing for Donation Day
On 28th September 2006, Mako embarked on their 4th annual Dealing For Donation Day. On this day, Mako encourages their staff and their clients to pledge a fixed sum, or a portion of profits or commissions to make a real difference to children's lives. Anyone can participate for this year's Day by phoning in to register their contribution. Even a donation of an hour or a day's pay will go a long way.
Mako have raised a total of £350,000 in previous years for Children in Crisis and has smashed previous year's efforts and raised £185,000 this year.
"In an industry that is often viewed as ruthless, it's fantastic to bring brokers and dealers together to change the future for so many children" said Ben Fitzsimmons, chair of Mako Group's charity committee. "I challenge all city firms to get involved and make a difference in the best way we know how"
